Working Dad

Week three of the "stay-at-home" dad month is beginning, and it sucks. It sucks that in a couple of weeks, I'm not going to be able to stay at home with BG anymore. I mean, I'll be able to take vacation days here and there, but it's just not the same. Being home with her everyday, watching her grow and change, it's pretty amazing. I'm still in awe of how much they change and how fast they change at this age. New sounds, new motor skills, new smells. Well, maybe not the new smells so much, but the rest of it is pretty great.

It makes what I do for a living seem so utterly pointless and silly. I suppose it pays the bills, so that's the point. But my perspective on my job is shifting pretty rapidly.

You are a Horrible Parent (Part II)

You are a horrible parent.

Don't you know that if you don't breastfeed your baby until she's five, she'll never get into college and she'll get typhoid?

And don't you know that if you don't stay home with your baby until she goes to school, she'll have attachment disorders, probably develop borderline personality disorder and end up a pole dancer somewhere?

ARGG!
